Haute Dog$ - MDSPCA Foster Parents
Foster programs are essential in preparing shelter animals for the happiest and healthiest lives possible. In 2018, 53% of the animals who walked through the Maryland SPCA doors spent a portion of their ‘stay’ in a volunteer foster home. Whether Scruffy enters our shelter underage, medically unstable, or in need of behavioral support—each cat, kitten, dog, and puppy benefits tremendously from the love and attention only a foster home can provide.
By providing temporary care for these shelter animals, our foster families:
- free up a spot so that the Maryland SPCA can take in another dog in need
- give foster dogs the time and support they need until they are ready for adoption
- help the shelter learn more about the dog so that they can end up in the best home possible
We are uniquely positioned to expand our program further and save even more lives, but we can’t do it without you. By donating to our team, you give us the ability to make our program the best it can be; providing our foster families with the tools and support that ensure a successful fostering experience.
